About Us

Welcome to Katspur Cattery. My name is Denise Kister and I have been breeding Persian & Himalayans' since 1998. I am located in the Southwestern part of Pennsylvania, in a small town called Somerset. We are a small family operated cattery that strives on the importance of breeding and raising healthy, happy kittens. We are a registered cattery with The Cat Fanciers' Association Inc. (CFA).

I am not a "big-time" breeder. My priority is with my family and raising my two sons. My goal is to provide everyday hard-working families, the opportunity of owning such a wonderful breed, at affordable prices.

Our females are on a scheduled breeding program, which means our males are kept separate to prevent over-breeding and inter-breeding. Our cats are part of our family and we are not willing to jeopardize our females' health by mass-producing.

To insure proper health, we work closely with our local Veterinarian Center. Dr Vince, individually sees all of our kittens for a health examination along with their first shots. Our cattery is 100% FeLV & FIV tested negative. We also take pride in being ringworm and flea free. We are in the process of testing for PKD.

We do offer shipping, but also enjoy personally meeting our new adopted families. We welcome each to see where their new bundle of joy was born, loved and raised for the first few months of their lives. We like all new parents to stay in contact with us. We are always here to answer any questions and concerns they might have. After all, they will always be our "Forever Katspur Babies".
